Your Volunteers spent the majority of their day training to ensure we provide you with the best service possible!

Firefighters from Deep Gap & Meat Camp Fire Department trained on fighting vehicle fires and propane tank fires. This is part of a 40 hour Fire Control class being taught by DGFD Captain Seth Norris and FF Matt Clark. This is one of many classes Deep Gap Fire teaches to help get our Firefighters state certified. The class will conclude next Saturday with a state written exam and burning an old house on Highway 221.

We would like to thank Capt. Shane Garland from Boone Fire Department with helping us with this burn, G&B Energy/Appalachian Energy for providing us with propane and a tank and the local Brown family for donating the van for us to burn!
