Deep Gap Fire welcomed North Carolina State Fire Marshal/Department of Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey & US Representative Virginia Foxx to our station for the delivery of a $24,850 grant check. This grant has covered 4 interoperability radios & 7 sets of turnout gear.

In fact, the radios have already been put to good use during a fire alarm activation and incident command could not get reception on our normal dispatch channel and had to switch to specialty channel to talk to communications.
