We’re looking for anyone wanting to become a Volunteer Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Fire Apparatus Operator, or Rescue Technician. DGFD also offers part-time Firefighter/EMT positions!

Deep Gap Fire Department will provide all training for free.

REQUIREMENTS

Volunteer Members must be 18 years of age, live in or within 5 miles of the fire district, have a valid drivers license, high school diploma and able to pass background check & Drug  test.

Part-Time Staff must hold NC FF, EMT-Basic, ICS certifications and have past or current firefighter experience with a full-time department.

Junior Firefighters can be between 14-18 years of age and enrolled in school.

Transferring and former firefighters are eligible for an accelerated 3-month probationary period!
