Member spotlight on Firefighter Andy Toms!

Andy is one of our newest members, joining our ranks in 2019. Andy was previously a full time firefighter for the Linville Fire Department located at Grandfather Mountain, and currently works as a full time firefighter for the City Of Salisbury, NC. On his off time, Andy dedicates many hours protecting his home community of Deep Gap as well as, being an exceptional photographer; of which you will see his photography on our website and social media pages.

Andy is a NC certified Firefighter and EMT-Basic. He also is certified as a Technical Rescuer and holds specialty certifications in Vehicle Rescue, Wilderness Rescue, Confined Space, Water Rescue, and Trench Rescue. He also serves on Linville’s Mountain Search and Rescue team.

We are extremely proud to have Andy and to see the level of dedication he has put in protecting his community in just a short amount of time!
