
One patient airlifted from wreck on Blue Ridge Parkway
Your volunteers along with Boone Fire Department Station 3, Watauga Medics & Watauga County Rescue Squad responded to a single vehicle accident on the Blue Ridge Parkway on April 22nd. Boone Fire Engine 4 arrived on scene first and found a single vehicle off the roadway with 3 patients. Shortly after, Deep Gap Volunteers arrived and assumed Incident Command.
1 patient was airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center from a landing zone that was set up at Deep Gap’s fire station.
There was great teamwork by all responding units!
On Scene: Engine 2303, Squad 2304, Car 2309, Numerous Deep Gap Volunteers, Boone Fire Engine 4, 2 Watauga Medic Ambulances.
Landing Zone: Engine 2301, Engine 2302, Tanker 2305 and other Deep Gap personnel.
Canceled Enroute: Boone Squad 1, Watauga Rescue Squad Rescue 6.
