Tanker 2306

Share

Tanker 2306 is a 3,000 gallon tanker and serves as our first-out tanker on most structure fires, vehicle fires, fire alarm activations, and mutual aid calls.

The Deep Gap Fire District does not have any municipal fire hydrants. Therefore, we must draft water out of rivers, ponds, and streams to fight fire. Tanker 2306 plays a vital role in transporting a large quantity of water from our water source (rivers/pond) to the fire scene. In fact, Tanker 2306 holds the most water of any fire truck in the High Country.
